In her exhibition at Cirkulationscentralen, Anna Wessman continues to explore the relation between power, language and speech. Through carrying forward    narratives, objects and symbols from a historic context, she uncovers structures of power in our collective writing of history. In her new works, Wessman searches for connection between things and memories, between the preserved and transient.

Anna Wessman (b. 1969) lives and works in Malmö. She has been a student at the Nordic Art School in Karleby, Finland 1994-1996 and took her master at Malmö Art Academy in 2001. The past couple of years, Wessman has participated in exhibitions at Moderna Museet in Stockholm and Galleri 54 in Gothenburg, Sweden, Pixel in Copenhagen, Denmark and Kunstverein, Rügen in   Germany. She has also been showing her work at Signal in Malmö, Krognoshuset Aura in Lund and at Ystad Art Museum in the South of Sweden.
